Tea Contracting
Tea cultivation and harvesting is a meticulous process, predominantly carried out by women in many parts of the world. At Incredible Holdings, we recognize the importance of careful tea leaf selection and have dedicated ourselves to delivering top-quality tea through our contracting services. The tea pickers play a vital role in the harvesting process, skillfully plucking new and tender "flushes" consisting of two leaves and a bud. These flushes appear approximately every seven to eight days in hot climates, and about twice that long in cooler climates. The buds located near the end of a branch are generally considered to be of the highest quality, while lower quality ones can be found further down the branch. The expertise of our tea pickers comes into play as they fling the flushes over their shoulders into baskets strapped onto their heads and backs. A skilled picker can gather around 72 kilograms (160 pounds) of leaves per day, from which approximately 18 kilograms (40 pounds) of finished tea is produced. It is worth noting that freshly picked leaves weigh about twice as much as properly dried tea leaves, requiring skill and experience to accurately assess their condition.

At Incredible Holdings, we prioritize the production of high-quality tea. While some companies may remove additional leaves to increase productivity, we adhere to a practice of selectively picking just one bud and two leaves from a single twig. We also ensure that the leaves are harvested between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm when they are in the best condition.
